SMVDU
We are going to celebrate Software Freedom Day at SMVDU on 20th September. We are planning to have a day full of workshops, competitions, talks about Open Source. SMVDU can be reached from Jammu via Road in about 1 hour. One can easily hire taxis from Jammu, Katra or Udhampur to reach SMVDU.

Workshops
1. Wikipedia: The power of sharing knowledge by contributing into Wikipedia. 2. Github: Basic Know-how of Github and how to use it to contribute into Open Source World. 3. Network Security: Fundamentals of Network Security using Open Source Tools. 4. Linux: Basics of Linux
Competitions
1. Open Source Presentation Competition: Participants will be presenting on any open source technology. 2. A Quiz based on Open Source.
