Since 2007 Bluepoint has been hosting its Software Freedom Day event to build awareness of software freedom in its local area. In 2009, with a team size of 34 members, Bluepoint Software Freedom Day reached over 500 participants! The schedule was packed with speakers throughout the three venues. There were exhibitions for showcasing different Free Software throughout the whole day. Its promotion job is well done with even TV advertising. A great job by the team and congratulations! |

SFD Competition 2009
The competition is largely based around the best Software Freedom Day events from around the world! Teams had to prepare and submit an entry and in 2009 we received some amazing submissions. Below are both the top 3 winners as well as some highly commended entries.
All these entries represent incredible efforts to take Software Freedom to the general public and the Software Freedom International board thanks all participants for their efforts. Thank you! You do your countries, and our community proud!
The three winners will receive a Tux-Droid and a trophy as awards.
