== Getting started == To get a basic understanding of how OBS Studio works, they offer [[https://obsproject.com/kb/quick-start-guide|a simple introduction]]. If you prefer, you can find video tutorials on all the major platforms. You can use the following Scene collection to start off: [[attachment:sfd_scene_collection.zip]] There are 2 scenes: * '''one with a shared screen and small webcam:''' for giving a presentation/demonstration * '''one with a big webcam:''' for streaming a panel discussion, speaker, introduction You can easily toggle between the two scenes - and with some twiddling, you can also add more scenes == Preparation and enhancements == '''First things first:''' There are profiles and scenes. Don't mix them up. Profiles store the technical stuff (a profile for streaming to youTube, another profile for recording locally, but also for example your output resolution and bitrates/quality) Scenes determine how things look. and what elements appear on what you stream. First you'll have to unzip the scene collection as the images are not automatically connected. Zo unzip the file to a location where you want to store these files. Now... in the top menu, click on "Scene Collection" -> Import. A popup appears, asking you to import your scene. Import the file "SFD.json" that is in the root of the folder. Don't forget to check the box in front of the name: {{attachment:scene_collection_importer_1.png}} Now, in the Scene Collection you will see that "SFD" is added. When you select it the first time, you'll get an error message that the images are not found. Click on the button "Search Directory..." and go to the images folder. {{attachment:scene_collection_importer_2.png}} We're almost there. To add the blurry edge around the webcam, you right click on the Webcam source, select the right webcam. Right click again and now click Filters. Click on the "Image Mask/Blend" filter and you'll see that the wrong path is set. Now fix this. {{attachment:webcam_filters.png}} == Presentation view == {{attachment:obs_screenshot1.png}} == Speaker View == {{attachment:obs_screenshot2.png}}
