Matt Oquist is a Software Freedom evangelist living in Hudson, NH, USA. Matt obtained his B.S. in computer science from Taylor University in 2001 and worked on Tru64 Unix and then HPUX for Compaq/HP until he escaped into the world of Free Software. Now he independently contracts for institutions (especially schools) wishing to migrate to or integrate with GNU/Linux and other Free Software.

Matt is one of the co-founders of Software Freedom Day, and he currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer on the board of directors of the non-profit organization1 Software Freedom International.
