= CORDS = == Description == CORDS, an acronym for Computer Oriented Research and Development Society is a student's group in U.I.E.T. Panjab University, Chandigarh. We aim at setting up a robust and effective information base in U.I.E.T. and provide technical solutions, tools, resources and knowledge to meet the requirements of the institute. At CORDS, we strive to lead in the invention, development and maintenance of advanced information technologies, including computer systems, software and database systems and translate these advanced technologies into the assets of U.I.E.T., through our professional solutions, and services. We also work on various research and live projects to contribute to the field of computer science. The Computer Oriented Research and Development Society, (CORDS), aim to develop and promote a new culture among the students of U.I.E.T. which encompasses learning by interaction & contribution to live projects and the development of a practical approach towards problem solving. The CORDS team strongly believes in innovation, technology, networking and providing solutions. As our intellectual horizons will enlarge, we hope to grow and contribute more to U.I.E.T. We are going to organise SFD for 5th time in a row. This time again its a two day event with day 1 dedicated to familiarizing freshers with Opensource world and then day 2 exposing them to advance topics.
