Welcome to our page , We are trying to create awareness about the Open source initiative among the students of our institution. To strenthen this initiative , We are celebrating the Software Freedom Day this fall. We plan to have 4 presentation on the topics :
1. INTRODUCTION TO OPEN SOURCE COMMUNITY.
2. INTRODUCTION TO UBUNTU 10.04 & IT'S NEW FEATURES.
3. PROGRAMMING & DEVELOPMENT WORKS WITH THE HELP OF OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARES.
WE ARE ALSO CONDUCTING AN ON-SITE INSTALLATION FEST WHERE FRESH UBUNTU 10.04 OS WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE SYSTEMS TO SHOW HOW EASY IS TO INSTALL LINUX. We are also planning to distribute the ubuntu 10.04 live-cds to all the participents of the celebration function.
Finally , We are trying to develop a community in our college which can appriciate & motivate the use of the Open source Technology.
