WEB CLUB NITK
We are a group of Web enthusiasts in our college, National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
As students of the engineering discipline who are passionate about all things software, we hold an array of talks, discussions, workshops on softwares of different fields, Code and Apti contests to give the thrill and learning experience of OFCs to the all the interested residents of the college.
Web Club NITK is the primary student association at NITK Surathkal that promotes the FSF and FOSS philosophy. We are an active LUG and have been regular participants of SFD, conducting linux install fest (spreading the know-hows about the Ubuntu installation process of Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Fedora), installing linux on all the lab computers, conducting contests and introductory talks on OSS, in college making it a part of software freedom week
This year, we are conducting our traditional LINUX INSTALLATION FEST
We are having a talk on GSoC
We are conducting introductory workshops on Python, GIT, OCTAVE and OpenGL+WebGL
