There will be an opportunity to try out various free software applications on both Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms. Visitors will be able to pick up information on the solutions and take away CDs loaded with free software. Free "Live CDs" will also be available, which enable a user to safely and easily try out free software (such as the Ubuntu operating system) on their computer. When the disc is removed and computer restarted, their computer will restart in its normal state – the safest and best way for users to try out Linux. | At the event there was the opportunity for all visitors to try out various free software applications on Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
