Rugby Linux Users Group, in association with the Benn Partnership Centre, credativ and OpusVL, is holding an event for Software Freedom Day in the afternoon of September 17th 2011, to be held at the Benn Partnership Centre, Railway Terrace, CV21 3HR. The event will run from 12:00 to 16:00, with visitors from local schools in the area invited to attend from 11:00 onwards.
Introduction
Our event is part of the global SFD initiative – a worldwide demonstration and celebration of Free and Open Source software, with over 100 countries taking part. The goal is to educate the public about the many benefits of using high quality Free and Open Source software (FOSS) at home, in education, business, government, ... in short, everywhere!
