SFD InstallFest
Venue: College of Education (CED) Lobby
InstallFest provides people joining SFD information and technical support regarding FOSS, especially Linux Distributions. If you want to have your own copy of a Linux Distro (i.e, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Kubuntu, et.al), then this is the place that you want to be. Also, InstallFest provides a whole lot of other FOSS for every personal use.

For those who want some fun and action in celebrating Software Freedom Day, SFD Gaming is here to make you up ang lively! SFD Gaming will be unleashing two FOSS games: WARSOW and StepMania.
Registration starts on September 16, 2011 at the Computer Science Department and participants may register on-site during the gaming day on September 17, 2011.
WARSOW
Set in a futuristic, cartoon-like world where rocket launcher wielding pigs and laser gun-carying cyberpunks roam the streets, Warsow is a completely free, fast-paced, first-person shooter (FPS) for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Speed and movement, that's what Warsow is all about. Like a true cyber-athlete you jump, dash, dodge, and walljump your way through the game. Grab those power-ups before your enemy does. Plant the bomb, before anyone can see you, and steal the enemy's flag before anyone goes what going on.
Rules and Prizes
1) A Team must have 5 members.
2) A registration fee for Php 30.00 will be needed for playing per team.
3) Inital Pot Money is Php.300.00, and winner takes all with freebies
4) Schedules will be arranged upon registration.
5) Game Mode: CAPTURE THE FLAG.
6) Enjoy gaming!

STEPMANIA
StepMania is an open source and cross-platform rhythm video game and engine. It was originally developed as a simulator of Konami's popular arcade game series Dance Dance Revolution, and has since evolved into an extensible rhythm game engine capable of supporting a wide variety of rhythm-based game types. Released under the MIT License, StepMania is free software.
It is an "auditon-like" game. Dance with the steps, as you jive in with your favorite music plays. Hit the arrows to score points.
Rules and Prizes
1) Beat the highest score!.
2) Inital Pot Money: Php.50.00.
3) Php. 3.00 per play.
4) WInner takes all, including freebies.
5) Prize will be given at the end of the day.
