On Software Freedom day we will be promoting and demonstrating free software and free software concepts to home, education and business users.

Location: St Mary's Catholic School, 13th Avenue, Tauranga (follow the signs to the school hall)

Date & Time: Sunday 18 September, 11am-3pm

We have 14 volunteers who will be demonstrating the following free software:

* Various alternative computer Operating Systems (eg Ubuntu) 
* OLPCs (One Laptop per Child) XO Laptops and Sugar Educational Operating System Educational software 
* Model railway design software 
* Genealogy 
* Open Office 
* MySQL 
* Design software; The Gimp, Scribus 
* MythTV
* "Crossover" to show the software (DOS) programming of the portable radios used in Search & Rescue 
* CAD software for quilt design
* Music & keyboards 
* Android smart phones 
* Astronomy 
* Library management software
