About STI College Muñoz-EDSA’s Open Source Research Team (OSRT)
The mission of the team is to empower students and employees to achieve academic excellence through focus on open source technologies. The creation of the team was conceptualized in Academic Year 2009-10.
OSRT is formed with the following objectives:
- To assist timely and effective transfer of open source research to all possible departments;
- To explore open source technologies that contribute to the cost reduction of college resources;
- To develop mentors to support the college needs for open source technologies;
- To enable collaboration among MIS and other departments.
Members of the team:
The members of the team are pre-selected faculty, MIS staff and student assistants, and interested employees that possess the specializations, trainings, experiences, and interests to the exploration and development of free / open source technologies.
