Ubuntu DC Local Community
The community promotes free open source software (FOSS) in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, with a large, but not exclusive focus on Ubuntu and other Linux distributions. Members are also involved with the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) DC group, and have participated in Raspberry Pi hacking, the Code for America / Hacking for Change event, and Fab Lab DC courses.
As we have done since the first SFD, we will once again be tabling at the Takoma Park Folk Festival, held at the Takoma Park Middle School, 7611 Piney Branch Road, Takoma Park, MD 20910 six days before the official date (Sunday, September 8, 2013) which allows us to reach a much larger audience with little effort.
