Ubuntu DC LoCo
This year, as usual, we will be tabling at the Takoma Park Folk Festival, but six days off the mark in order to reach a much larger audience. See http://tpff.org/ for the full details on the time and place. We'll be handing out Ubuntu 10.04 CDs, and pending availability, other Linux distros, plus possibly CDs containing Free software for Windows. We will also have flyers explaining the philosophy behind Free Software, lists of applications classified by types of users (students, artists, teachers) and a list of groups in the area that focus on Free / Open Source Software and Free / Open Source Hardware (FOSS / FOSH). The OLPC XO 1.5 laptop will be there once again. I HOPE to have a working Arudino, a working Raspberry Pi and a working Beagle Bone on display.
In addition, there is a DISCOvering TECHnology Fair (a.k.a. the "Disco Tech Fair") being planned for "sometime in September" and we will be there as well. Details to be filled in as they develop.
