Ceata
Organize an event in a public square in the center of Bucharest, near University of Bucharest.
We will talk with young and old people that stop by. We will start by asking them
- if they use a computer,
- what software do they use most,
- if they are frustrated with some of its behaviour,
- what rights they would like to have (distribute, analyze, change);
Depending if the software is Free or Proprietary we will tell them how to use their freedom or recommend a Free alternative.
We will put some CC-BY-SA music on a GNU/Linux notebook connected to speakers (we can find a plug nearby). We will also give live demonstrations of how user-friendly GNU/Linux is (with latest GNOME 3, KDE Plasma).
As members of Ceata <http://ceata.org> organization devoted to Free Arts and Technologies, we have organized in the past 5-6 public events in two universities from Bucharest (Politehnica and ASE). This time we want to approach ordinary people in the street, not necessarily students.
