hi there, we, at chandigarh linux user group, are a bunch of students and working people who are working for promotion and inclusion of open source projects into business and educational institutes in chandigarh metropolitian reigion ( which includes 3 states and capital city of chandigarh ).
we try to engage people from different educational institutions from all over the place, tell them about open source projects ( esp, college student ), tell them about opportunities in open source world like php, mysql , google summer of code, and kde-soc etc.
Lastly, we are actively trying that all the government officies here are turned to linux and help people and students to migrate to linux.
there is also a bunch of people among us who are activly making some open source projects or are engaged with other bigger projects like kde, opensuse etc.
