= MUFIX Community = MUFIX Community is a student-based IT community founded at the Faculty of Computers and Information, Menoufia University, Egypt on 2005, with the goals of adding up to the knowledge of the faculty’s students and better prepare them for the job market after graduation. We aim to achieve those goals by holding weekly sessions throughout the academic year in which we invite the best speakers we can get, as well as major events, such as the Software Freedom Day, which we successfully held for two years in a row! On 2009, MUFIX Community became one of only three Sun OpenSource University Meetup Century Clubs in Egypt, as well as one of only three Java User Groups (JUG) in Egypt. The MUFIX team back then had not only one, but two Linux Fedora Ambassadors. Also, on 2010, we became one of only five Google Technology User Groups (GTUG) in Egypt. For more information, visit our About Dot Me page. Also we are more than glad to welcome speakers for our weekly sessions, as well as invitations for joint-events organization. For that and your questions, comments and/or suggestions, please feel free to contact us. Oh, and in case you were wondering what MUFIX stands for, it is Menoufia University Faculty of Computers and Information Students = MUFICS, which is pronounced MUFIX!
