马鞍山市是中國安徽省下辖的一个地级市，中国十大钢铁基地之一。马鞍山位于六朝古都南京市的西南侧，市区离南京市区仅有半小时的车程，并为南京都市圈和长江三角洲经济圈的组成城市之一。马鞍山港为安徽境内4个长江一级港口之一。马鞍山在2009中科院《城市竞争力蓝皮书》中生活质量竞争力列两岸三地第9名，2009全国文明城市地级市中排第4位。
